The marks are in and counted, the places allocated and the envelopes have been sealed.
Results day - the day I have been in alternating denial and terrified suspense over since I put my pen down on my last exam paper- has finally been and gone.

I’m so proud of all my friends; as far as I know everyone got into university.
In the morning I was woken up by a frantic friend yelling at me to get on a computer because track had updated and she had got in! I tried my laptop, but the battery promptly died, so I had to throw myself down the stairs and yoink the computer from my mother whilst ordering both parents out of the room. The tension was building as I couldnt remember my password (luckily it was saved to the PC :P)

The current status of your Application is:
Congratulations! Your place at University of Surrey to study Psychology (4 years) has been confirmed.

When I saw that message I just screamed! My mum and dad came running shouting “what? what! WHAT!” clearly confused as to whether the scream was in heartbroken anguish or joyous disbelief. They wer relied to find itw as the latter.
Suddenly my actual results didn’t seem to matter, but all the same I found myself aprehensive as I pulled the paper out the envelope.
I got an A in english literature, A in psychology and a B in history (oh and a B in general studies but, as you may have guessed I really don’t care about that) I am so chuffed with the B in history - I genuinly didn’t believe that I’d get that.

So I got more than enough for my ABB uni offer and am officially going to Surrey! I also got allocated my accomodation and I got my first choice of Twyford, which is ensuite! :D YAY!

So well done everyone; all our hard work finally paid off and now what once seemed like a distant idea that we’d never really reach has suddenly become a reality which needs to be furnished with cutlery and plates and photograph collages.

Lotsa Love and Congratulations

This is my last post before I head out to Sunny Beach with the girls.
Man I never knew packing a suitcase was such an art! Packing for me has definatly been very stressful - I’m paranoid I havn’t got everything.
Having weighed my case, it weighs 13.9 kgs, so I’m perfectly under our 20kg limit - this means that should the fancy take me I can bring back a 6kg camel or something. How big are baby camels?
I’m kinda nervous about the whole thing - flying out and being all big and grown up. Is scary - I’m glad we have tourguide Kirstin. (well okay not tour guide but she’s been before and so has more clue than me Gem and Em.)

In other news - I am a lonelygirl15 obsessive. Yes I know, its finishing this August so I’m a bit behind the times, but its pretty cool. I wish I’d got caught up when it started in 2006 when people first thought it was real for a bit (kinda like I wish I’d found all the cloverfield viral stuff). That would have been fun. I’m currently on episode 213, and my favourate characters are Jonas (yes yes, because he is the hot one) and Sarah (because she isnt taking anything seriously) oh and of course I love P.Monkey, esp when directed by Sarah!

Half an hour before I leave for the air port - DUN DUN DUUUUUUUN.
Maybe I’ll hand write blog posts (would that infact be called a diary! I think so) and upload them when I get back.
I’m taking a 2gb memory card so hopefully thats lots of photos and videos that I can bore you all with - other peoples holiday snaps can be the worst! But it is compulsary.

Wish us luck!
Lotsa Love

Prom yesterday was brilliant, after weeks of searching for that dress and the surprise of finding a dress the colour that some digital cameras seem to be unable to show (yes, my dress which was a turquoise on the website was very much green when it arrived) much titivation of hair, application of make up and posing for parental pre-event photography the whole event went very smoothly (minus the agony of high heels which set in at about midnight) Everyone looked snazzy in their suits and dresses and the band was superbly talented. It allowed for the nostalgic (and interesting) rendition of ’sweet child of mine’ - a song which I think will be our years theme tune.
It was the night of my first trip to Liquid, which gets the less than enthusiastic but not altogether disparaging rating of “okay”. Although from what I hear fire and ice is far far superior.

However it was naturally tinged with sadness - that’s the second to last time I’m going to see Miss Warfield. The last time being results. But I said I wouldn’t write any more posts like this so I’ll just swiftly pretend I never started

My toes and feet still ache - the curse of the high heel.

Lotsa Love

3 blog posts just about celebrating me not dying for another year? Is that a bit ridiculous?!
NO :P

Well another year older, another year wiser and all that jazz - I thought I’d wake up and like, have some light bulb epiphany about life, its meaning and what I’m supposed to do with it…turns out that doesn’t happen. Damn, I guess I’ll have to stick to using the 8-ball (or actually, the little yes-no lady that tom brought me who handily nods or shakes her head when asked questions.)

I got a snazzy new watch today which has a solar powered battery - get me and my planet saving gadgets. Now I have no valid excuse to be late :( (well when I get it anyway - I’m not allowed it till the weekend when the grandparents can officially give it to me.)

Lotsa Love

Last Sunday me and riding buddy Sophie braved the cross country (XC) course for the first time this season. I was, to not put too finer point on it, shitting myself. I was so scared I was actually shaking - but I needn’t have been! Saxon loves it so much and is so good that after the first 3 jumps I was totally relaxed and loving every minute, such an awesome pony.
The third jump that we did was called the “Step and Palisade” and it actually featured in the pre novice class this year (it goes intro -> pre novice -> novice -> intermediate) so its not a beginners fence and it looks terrifying!
Oh no....
The uphill-ness of it means that you pretty much have to let the horse gallop after the step up. Me and Sophie both took one look at it and said “no”. Our instructor said yes…and made me do it after Sophie fell off (great confidence boost - first time XC since I broke my bone and he’s making me throw myself up a step, hill, jump.) But, bless little Saxon, after I went up to it and turned him away from it we went again a second time and aced it no problems. That feeling going up that hill was amazing - I actually did a happy scream and shook my fist like I would in a film.
So anyway, Sophie’s photographically talented sister came out and took some photo’s so hopefully I’ll get them posted up on another page if anyone is interested (but I expect not somehow :P)

The horrible demon that was the Irish coursework has finally been destroyed and now I care no more. Thank Fuck!
Now all I have to do is my english coursework…oh and revision…and NVQ folder work which has been much neglected…

Due to a slightly misjudged dismount, my back now feels all jarred and decrepit - I tell you riding the horse isn’t the dangerous part, its when you get down that you gotta watch out. I hope its better by Sunday because I’m doing a cross country lesson hopefully :D Will be great to get back out there on the course - had so much fun last time. Maybe I’ll even get some photos from my riding buddies sister…

Ho Hum

Well yesterday I was rick rolled by youtube, convinced they found flying penguins by the bbc and told “I herd you liek mudkips?” by Deviant. Yes naturally it was 1st April, the day when the world gets just a little but more fun for a whole 12 hours. Then it goes back to being boring old normal.

Anyway, April is my birthday month (woo) so very soon I will be turning magical 18, although that magical 18 has lost alot of magic now people drink a lot earlier on, and kids grow up a lot faster - I feel like an old man saying stuff like that but its true, you do have to grow up faster now what with the internet showing you how great adult life is and what with pre-teens dressing like post-teens and the post-teens dressing like pre-teens. I mean you see parents dressing their young girls in tiny mini-skirts (yes with cute coloured tights on) and with t-shirts that have slogans like “Cute and I know it” or “Warning: I have attitude” and its like, where did the winnie the poo t-shirts go?! Where did the tops with kittens and puppies go?
Anyway, Old man moment over.

I curse the day I found Stumble video. Its so easy now to click that little button and I can find so many videos of ponies and funny candid camera programmes - I tell you its a curse to be so lacking in the concentration department.

Okay - not really even spring yet, but I’m feeling so summery and happy, I’m ready for summer now. Probably mostly because I bought myself a new tankini (and shock horror, its a size smaller than last years, so I’m more than slightly chuffed with that :D)
But I just undid a lot of that because I then chose to have McDonald’s for lunch. STUPID IDEA. I have just added up my calorific values (sodding mission to find them - they done make it easy. A google search was fruitless and I had to trawl through a FAQ page to find a link) and now I feel obese. Bloody McDonald’s - how can they sell such shit and how can I pay them for it. I swear I shall never go again.

*big sigh* I just shouldn’t have looked - ignorance is bliss after all!

So this weekend I have a lot of coursework to do of both the historical and literary kind. I also have a horse show to help out on which will probably manic - around 300 children with as many horses competing. Add relatives, teachers and helpers and you have a very tense bunch of people with some very skitty animals.

Roll on summery summer and the summery summer heat. PLEASE
Lotsa love Kat

Well I failed my driving test. Again.
With 3 minors and a stupid pull out in front of a landrover (now I have even more reason to hate them)
But I don’t want to talk about that - it makes me depressed.

So I’ll talk about my fabulous riding lesson last Sunday where I jumped a whole course of jumps which were about 2 foot. Small yes, but that’s exactly what I needed and I think its been the first riding lesson since I started back where I feel like I’ve made progress and I didn’t spend the whole time sick to my stomach. I approached (most of) the jumps confidently and actually enjoyed doing it. Onwards and upwards! It helps that Saxon is my little star pony - he’s so sweet and honest, he even jumped a jump directly after tripping up - a lot of horses would have put the breaks on. He just carried on doing his thing. Love Love Love that pony!
Also helped out at a jumping competition which was (as always) absolute mayhem with about 15 horses competing and all trying to stay in the same tiny enclosed arena - we had a few squabbles from both horses and riders! Was very very fun. Also got to see some of the instructors who are on part time work now.

And to end on a cheerful note, how about reading about some Stallion fighting here (Pictures which are not for the faint hearted)

Lotsa Love

Yesterday was Tom’s very successful (from what I remember…) party. It was a party of discovery - I discovered Disorano is YUM (With capital letters no less)
- I discovered Sam can do the splits (haha! I remember that! :P)
- I discovered most people I asked (ok, so the one person I asked) thought Nick was better than Warrick in CSI
- I discovered that Jack is a comedic genius (not that I didn’t already know that) who has the balls to say what we’re all thinking
Yessums indeed, it was fabuloso (and also, because I wasn’t hosting, it took away the hell of a lot of stress which comes with hosting and left just the enjoyment).
Thank you Tom for taking up the party mantel and carrying it admirably. Who will be next to take it? Only time will tell…

Today was fairly average - woke up and had to drink directly from the tap because my tongue was actually physically dry due to the large amount of alcohol and small amount of actual liquids which I had drunk last night. Then I came downstairs to discover a spiffy new computer with spiffy windows vista sitting, waiting for me to mess up. I duly tried, but so far I have failed and everything is working perfectly.
Later I went into town with James and bought me a new bag (a girl can never have too many). We dined in the Black Tiles
I had a delicious steak and mushroom pie and for dessert I had chocolate and hazelnut torte. Yummy
If you don’t know, my dad has issues with beef - up until this summer I haven’t been allowed to eat it. My dad still thinks I’m going to get BSE even though the number of people diagnosed with it per year is less than 5. No, not 5%, 5 people. So after hearing I ate beef, he went off on one about how I was just trying to spite him (true…not that he knows), and I’d be sorry (not true). Well he can moo until the cows come home but if I want to have Steak and Mushroom pie, then I shall.

Lotsa Love
