As I mentioned a few weeks ago, I am becoming concerned about bees. Whilst these bumbly little critters do have a bit of a notorious reputation for their painful stings, it is important to remember their place in our food chain (Oh yes. good old biology lessons!) that is, near the bottom (forget the plankton and stuff, bees are where its at)
The reason I am bringing it up again is because when I opened the big issue I bought, there was an article about the bees! Now I understand we don’t all really want to hug the first bee to buzz across our path, and the other day I had something of a close encounter, as I executed a beautiful 3 point turn (bumping the curbs at every opportunity and twisting the steering wheel whilst stationary) as I looked over my right shoulder, me and bee came nose to nose (do bees have noses) where he sat on said shoulder. There was a small “oh…” which passed through my mind before I quickly unstrapped, grabbed a CD case and flicked the little bugger out the window as it angrily zzzzuzzzzed at me, no doubt preparing to sting me.
So, please, next time you see a bee, don’t kill it. Either run away screaming like a girl and get someone else to do it or just move it out the window on your own.
So, lacking of posts this month despite my positive torrent of blog inspiration last month. That’s mostly because all I’m doing is revision and exams, and everyone knows how horrible and dull that is so I don’t really need to prolong the agony by wasting my spare time typing it all out.
Roll on 17th June when its all over is all I will say.
Lotsa Love
Kat
