I just finished watching a channel 4 documentary (so you know its gotta be quality :p) entitled “My Fake Baby”. Its about People who collect plastic baby dolls which have been (very very skilfully) made to look as lifelike - you would swear some of them were real. Some even come with ‘heart beats’, they ‘breath’ suck etc (just like baby Annabell for those who know what I mean). Each one is a true work of art - really really incredible.
But…its so weird (if I’m honest a bit creepy). Some people spend so much money on what are, effectively, toys.
I mean I can start to understand the reasons, and it is harmless enough - for one woman she said she didn’t want children but liked having a clean perfect baby (Still, a little bizarre, but harmless). Another woman had a mock-up of her grandson made when he was a baby because he and his mother had moved to New Zealand and so she couldn’t see him much.
Its also sad…I imagine some of women have them who cant have real babies…and that really really is absolutly tragic.
Some of the models are just freakin’ weird - they look dead

Yet, it is harmless, and I guess if I applied that to “you can have a real looking pony that neighs but doesn’t shit or die” hell, I get it completely!!

Haha! I had no idea this would cause such a stir (okay, so not really a stir more a niggle in the grand scheme of things, but for this blog it really is an almighty whisk!) I have no idea how many of my commenter’s have found my blog but I naturally appreciate the interest.
