well just over two weeks ago I got a Playstation 3. I always said to people that I would never get one, but then here I am. Ok for what you are getting it is really over prices and there is still some things with the firmware that needs fixing. But over all I think that maybe one day it will have the upper hand.

The games that I got with the PS3 is Resistance: Fall of Man which has like the longest story line I have evey played. It took me and Gooding who stayed over that night that I got it the best part of 12 hours to complete and that on coop so if your playing it by yourself then its going to take an age.

Also I got Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune this is like the best looking game that I have ever seen its just so much fun to play. Its got all the elements that other games have mixed together to make areally good game. It has the puzzle part from any Larra Croft game the hidding behind cover and blind firing from Gears of War and finnaly the scenery of Far Cry with way to much  HDR for anyone to handle.

Then we have WarHawk this game is only online play there is no single player or anything. Its a bit random with the sixaxis as you can use the controler to fly the plane. So when you want to dodge the incoming missle you just wave the controler in the air and hope for the best.

Lastly Heavenly Sword which is the biggest peice of S**t that I have ever seen its just a complete button basher which is really not my thing at all. So i’m thinking in trading it in for Motor Storm which I have the demo for and its not that bad.

The thing about the demo’s and games that you can but from the PSN(Playstation Network) Store is that when you hover over them on the XMB(Xross Media Bar) they play a bit of music and the background changes which I think is a really cool touch. from the Store I bought Loco Roco which was a really good game on the PSP and its still the same good game on the PS3.

About the XMB which is there version of the Dashboard on the Xbox I really prefer it, its all nice and simple with small text and nicely layed out rather than the big cluncky buttons that a two year old to handle on the Xbox. Also the fact that you can put a mouse and keyboard into the playstaion, which I have not tryed yet is a really nice thought. Same goes from the predictive text when typing a message or webpage.

The web browser is alright for the odd occation but there is no complete flash some not all things that work, but things like youtube are fine. Also some webpages do not load properly like Bungie.net and Game.co.uk . So there are some things that need to be fix with it.

The last thing is the Blu-Ray player. With the playstation 3 I got spiderman 3 which I really liked when I went to see it in the cinema and its blu-ray so its HD but to be honest i don’t notice the difference the only thing that it dose it bring back the image quality that you lose having an HDTV so I see the point of it, But when you hear people talking about it they are saying that the detail is so much better I really could not tell.

Over all it will eventually be better than the 360 but I don’t see that day comming sometime soon. Also the release of Home and little big planet will make the experience even more enjoyable.

The new ipod touch update came out a few weeks ago and well yes i’m one of the people that bothered to get the aditional apps for the ipod touch. Although I dont think that apple really knows what the term exchange rate really means it should have only been like £10 which is still really an outrange. The thing is if you got a ipod touch from the apple store after the update came out you would have got it for free.

It just seams like apple is trying to get hold of your money at this point proably knowing that when the SDK comes out that people would just do what they have. So the thought that they would cash in on the idea. Over all quite pleased with the new update have not really changed much with the homescreen apart from put a few weblinks there but apart from that nothing much has really changed. Although I didn’t really like the fact that they have changes the dock to look like the iphones one as I really liked the Ipod touches reflective one much better. But now I have to live with it. It will all be better when the SDK comes out and the true abilties of the Ipod are used.

Went to go and see this at our local Cineworld Cinema and well the first story was about the tickets where by I acsidently got the wrong ones and got the 6:30 showing rather than the 7:30 showing that we ment to go and see. But anyway they let us in and we went to the other screen to see the film, the whole time that we where in there I was getting really worried that they would chuck us out but in the end they didn’t so we stayed and watched the film what a realeaf that was.

Overall I really liked it the camera work was really different which was really good and its not like your looking from the outside in more like your part of it which makes it really interesting to watch. Although the amount of movement in the camera left quite a few people with motion sickness which I did really get any of. The guy that was actually filming I found to be really funny and was quite good and I was really ashamed when he died ner to the end. he also came up with some really good quotes now and again. Like “there are also small bad things behind us”. But the part where the woman randomly explodes was really strange although you did not really see much she goes behind a curton and all you see if the shadow.

The monster seens you never really saw the whole thing only really glimpes of it as random intervals which was really good because the longer they can keep you know about the monster the more it builds in your mind. They always say that the more that you build in your mind is way scarier than anything that they can show you. Which is really true so keeping the moster not in main view for most of the film was really good.

The fact that at the end of the film that you need to know if they had killed the monster was also really good because it did not have the all american democracy of “Oh yeah we beat the monster, Fuck Yeah” kind of thing. Which you get with almost all of the major monster films there have been in the past.

Overall I would really surgest you go and see this film its really quite good.
